We will feature multiple expressions from the prestigious Château de Mille, exploring the elegance and vitality of its signature line, Les Clefs de Mille (or Clé de Mille).

Château de Mille: A Legacy of Popes and Provençal Pioneers

Our entire tasting is dedicated to the renowned Château de Mille from the Luberon appellation. These are truly wines of distinction, steeped in history and acclaimed for their balance, freshness, and character.

• Significant History and Papal Residence: Dating back to 1238, Château de Mille is the oldest wine estate in the Luberon. It holds a unique and celebrated place in history, having served as the historic summer residence for the Popes in Avignon, including Pope Clement VI. This profound past gives a rare nobility and cultural depth to every bottle.

• Sustainability & Organic Commitment: Château de Mille is a leading voice in environmentally conscious viticulture. The estate is certified organic and champions a comprehensive biodiversity plan, ensuring that the wines are an exceptional expression of a meticulously preserved Provençal ecosystem. This includes manual harvest of their old vines to ensure the highest quality of fresh and lively fruit.

• Wines of Acclaim: We will sample different wines under the Les Clefs de Mille banner—perhaps a vibrant Rosé, an aromatic White, or a fruit-forward Red—allowing you to compare how the estate’s distinct terroir is expressed across various colors.
